Isabella had her MRI on Monday morning (slight mix up in the date with the hospital). Her oncologist came by as Isabella was waking up from the sedation. Good news: all stable no growth.
We will meet with the oncologist and the neurologist on Thursday July 23 when she starts cycle 5 of chemo. We'll have a chance then to review the actual scans and get more details. In the meantime we are happy to know the chemo is keeping the tumors stable.
We've been having fun splashing about in the pool with the British grandparents who sadly leave on Wednesday but on Thursday the Italian summer camp begins with the arrival of i nonni da Roma.

Hi Emma et al, been checking the blog all day! So very very glad to read the good news. Bravo tin Isabella mas :-) We are looking forward to our holidays now... 2 weeks to go. Anna and George are fed up with being at home while we work, and I don't blame them!! Off on the 2nd for 17 days to our island... Third year in a row. finalmente ho trovato un po' di tempo per scrivervi. avrei voluto farlo in inglese, ma non ho con me la mia interprete di fiducia, che naturalmente vi manda i suoi saluti, per cui desisto.
Mi sembra di capire che le cure hanno avuto un effetto stabilizzante e che Isabella continui a reagire con grande coraggio. E' davvero eccezionale!
Così come voi, del resto.
Qui è arrivato il gran caldo e non vediamo l'ora di trasferirci a Borgofranco (vacanze a casa quest'anno) anche se mancano ancora tre settimane. Per il resto tutto ok. Lavinia ha passato il suo esame di licenza media con un buon voto e se la sta spassando in attesa dei futuri impegni da liceaele, mentre Edoardo, anche lui promosso con ottimi voti in seconda media, sta facendo gli scongiuri per non andare alle vacanze di branco con i lupetti. Chissà da chi avrà preso....
